DIA @ Ars Electronica 2023

Echipa Masterului Digital Interactive Arts [DIA] participă la Festivalul Ars Electronica!

O întrebare face cât o mie de răspunsuri! „Who owns the Truth?” / „Cine deține adevărul?” este întrebarea care dă titlul celui mai important festival de artă media din lume, Ars Electronica, desfășurat la Linz, Austria, între 6 și 10 septembrie 2023. Studenți și cadre didactice de la masterul Digital Interactive Arts [DIA], din cadrul Facultății de Teatru și Film participă la Ars Electronica 2023 cu un proiect ce caută nu atât răspunsurile, cât provocările pe care le propune întrebarea-generic.

„Reverse Manipulation”, proiectul echipei DIA, face referire la una dintre cele mai dezbătute probleme astăzi: manipularea și modurile creative de a o aborda și comenta. Dublul sens al titlului se referă la diferite modalități de a contracara manipularea (prin mass-media/media socială), dar, în același timp, presupune manipularea asumată ca act artistic. De la Inteligență Artificială, la Augmented Reality, la Virtual Reality, la video, lucrările vorbesc despre relația complicată dintre imagine, imaginație, dialog critic și adevăr.

Ars Electronica este cel mai vechi și cel mai important festival de artă media din lume, locul în care se lansează cele mai noi direcții și tendințe în arta și tehnologia contemporană. The team of the Digital Interactive Arts [DIA] Master program is part of the Ars Electronica Festival!

A question is worth a thousand answers! “Who owns the Truth?” is the question that gives the title of the most important media art festival in the world, Ars Electronica, held in Linz, Austria, between September 6 and 10, 2023. A group of students and professors from the Digital Interactive Arts [DIA] master’s program, at the Faculty of Theater and Film takes part in Ars Electronica with a project that seeks to find not so much the answers as the challenges proposed by the generic question.

“Reverse Manipulation”, the project of the DIA team, makes reference to one of the most debated issues today: manipulation and the means to tackle it. Its double sense refers to different ways to counter (mass/social media) manipulation, but at the same time, it assumes manipulation as an artistic act. From Artificial Intelligence to Augmented Reality to Virtual Reality to video, the works speak about the intricate relationship between image, imagination, critical dialogue and truth.

Ars Electronica is the oldest and most important media arts festival in the world, the place where the most innovative directions and trends in contemporary art and technology are launched.
