Conferința „BEOWULF AND TOLKIEN: MYTH AND HEROISM IN MIDDLE-EARTH”

Centrul CODEX are plăcerea de a vă invită marți, 25 aprilie 2023, de la ora 16:00, în sala Popovici (Facultatea de Litere UBB), la conferința susținută de prof. Leo Carruthers, cu titlul: Beowulf and Tolkien: Myth and Heroism in Middle-Earth.

Leo Carruthers is Professor emeritus of English at the Sorbonne. He has published extensively on medieval English literature, and on J. R. R. Tolkien. His publications include: Tolkien et la religion: comme une lampe invisible (Paris, 2016); Reading ‘Everyman’ (Neuilly, 2008); Tolkien et le Moyen Âge (ed., Paris, 2007); Beowulf (Paris, 1998); Heroes and Heroines in Medieval English Literature (ed., Woodbridge, 1994).
